| Journeys to Sacred Sites of the World
|
|
|
| In
recent years I have been privileged to lead
a group of spiritually oriented people to
a special sacred site somewhere in the world.
In this special place, we connect with both
that area's Sacred Ancient Tradition and the
monuments or places where that Tradition still
lives. Through the power of the Tradition
and the grace of the Divine, we become filled
with the unique blessings of that source.

The Sacred Sites of Buddhism
featuring the sacred Buddhist Temples of Thailand and Cambodia
January 28 to February 10, 2009

It has been said that “The purpose of Christianity is not to create Christians, but to create Christs … and the purpose of Buddhism is not to create Buddhists but to create Buddhas.” It is this spirit that has inspired us to lead a new and exciting tour of Thailand and Cambodia, visiting the Sacred Sites of Buddhism. While sitting in the historically sacred temples and powerful Buddhist sites of the Far East, we will experience the spirit of the Buddha filling us, the power of his Light renewing us, and “the Buddha within” awakening in our hearts.
Bill Bauman will be our spiritual facilitator on this special tour. Bill has an intimate, personal bond with the Buddha and feels honored to translate the Light and Inspiration of the Buddha to us on this trip. We will also be lovingly escorted by local tour experts/guides and stay in first-class lodging throughout the tour. In our view, this is a trip of a lifetime— transformational and affordable.

Journey:
Sacred Sites of the American Southwest

In October
2003, 56 people joined me in a spiritual
journey to the Four Corners region in America's
Southwest. The group moved fluidly for ten
days, experiencing the beauty of nature,
the spirit of our Continent's native peoples,
and the sacredness of the Land.
For some, this adventure was a personal
search or vision quest; for others, an intimate
time with the wisdom of the ancient peoples
and traditions; for others, a sacred experience
of God as seen and felt in nature's wonder;
and for others, a sacred journey into the
wisdom of our planet's boundless wisdom.
Individually and collectively the group
heard - and internalized - the voice of
nature and the still-present spirit of our
earth's ancient teachers and healers.
The journey included visits to Chaco Canyon
and the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico, Mesa
Verde and Four Corners Monument in Colorado,
Monument Valley in Utah, and Canyon de Chelly
in Arizona. During these visits the
group shared intimate and sacred time together
daily at the sites and evenings after dinner
in meditation, ceremony, sharing, and integration.

Journey: Sacred Sites of France

Our 2004 journey was to
the Sacred Sites of France. From
September 28 to October 10, we dedicated
ourselves to exploring the spirit of "the
Divine Feminine." France has
for centuries embodied God's softer, more
loving "feminine spirit" - the
spirit of love, grace, oneness and blessings.
Having witnessed innumerable examples of
touching miracles, human devotion, and infinite
grace, this historically rich land still
holds that Feminine Love in ways that touch
our hearts and call to us to this day.
Our 13-day journey led us to fifteen of
France's sacred sites - special places where
the feminine touch of the Divine has created
miracles and left its mark on the hearts
of humankind.
From Lourdes to Lisieux, Chartres to Giverny,
Mont St. Michel to Nevers, then to Paris'
many sacred treasures (Notre Dame, Sainte
Chapelle, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre, Church
of the Madeline, Church of the Miraculous
Medal, etc.), we found the spirit and power
of the Divine feminine in the persons of
Jesus, Mary, St. Bernadette, St. Theresa,
St. Catherine Labouré, St. Genevieve, and
Mary Magdalene. We tasted the wonder
of the ongoing presence of these figures
and what their spirits still hold for us
- the infinite love of the divine and its
power to infuse itself into us in miracle-creating
ways.
