What We Are About

In 2004 I felt moved to initiate an open-hearted, "loosely-knit" spiritual community in response to the needs of a growing number of spiritually-minded persons who are dedicated to finding their own inner Truth ... attuning fully to their inner Wisdom ... becoming one with God as their inner source ... living fully in the Divine light of their nature ... and/or becoming and staying connected with the Infinite in a personally grounded and centered way.

It became clear to me that currently there are few resources to support this ever-expanding population of people who are on a genuine, soul-centered and heart-felt quest for personal growth, expansion and empowerment. While some of these people can find the support they need for this quest in religions, philosophies, friendships, gurus and spiritual teachers, a growing number of people are shying away from these approaches ... and are looking for something else.

That's where our spiritual community comes in. We are a group of people who are committed to living in the integrity and truth of our created nature and are dedicated to supporting others who feel called to the same style of living. We don't live by a set of beliefs or principles - except, of course, the belief that you can find your own truth and inspiration as it lives and breathes in your own soul.

We've come to call this community the Center for Soulful Living. Its central theme is that sacredness and beauty lie within each of us. Its main purpose is to support each person's connectedness with his or her inner truth and wisdom. Its primary tenet is that divine presence and love can be accessed and experienced by every person - from within. Its overriding focus is to help each person become her/his own master and mentor, with the community serving the role of supportive servant.

Our community, then, is an informal, unofficial grouping of like-spirited persons who feel called to find others like themselves to support their own intimate experience of every facet of Life.  It's centered around and dedicated to honoring the unique experience of each individual.

In this sense, our community is not for anyone who is looking for someone to tell him or her what to do or how to live life. Yet, it may be for you if you feel a soul-based desire to join with others in ways that support your own journey to wondrous self-discovery, intimate self-love, and fulfilling self-empowerment.

As you might have guessed, your involvement in this informal community requires no membership, no dues, and no obligations to the group on your part - except that you take personal responsibility for your own personal and spiritual growth.  Any sense of belonging to this community is personal to you; it is not an external requirement.

I set up our spiritual community in this special way in order to avoid the potential "glass ceiling" effects of some organizations - where the person's need to continue growing and expanding is sometimes limited by the organization's requirements or beliefs. In our community, we want each person to listen internally to the soul's wisdom and directives, and to take an "adult-like" approach to living rather than a "child-type" approach; that is, to be grounded in one's Self, rather than giving obedience to an external authority. This open-hearted community is a means to support that goal, not an end in itself.
